Quick Answer
How Do You Import Contacts as Affiliates?
Go to Marketing → Affiliate Manager → Affiliates, select Add, and choose Import from Contacts.
You can import all contacts, search for specific contacts, or filter contacts by tags before selecting the people who should become affiliates.
Importing Contacts Without Creating Confusion
You may already have contacts inside BizStackPro and want to turn some of them into affiliates without adding each person manually.
Contacts and affiliates are connected, but they are not automatically the same thing. A contact usually needs to be selected and imported before becoming part of your Affiliate Manager.
If this process is rushed, you may import the wrong people, miss qualified contacts, or encounter duplicate-email issues that prevent some records from being added.
This guide explains how contact importing works, what to check before importing, and how to move existing contacts into the Affiliate Manager more cleanly.
What You Can Do with Contact Sync
Once you know which contacts should become affiliates, BizStackPro allows the affiliate administrator to sync contacts directly into the Affiliate Manager.
Contact Import Options
- Import all available contacts.
- Search for specific contacts by name or email.
- Filter contacts using existing tags.
- Select only the contacts who should become affiliates.
- Reuse your existing CRM data instead of entering records manually.
Before You Import Contacts
Review your contact records before starting the import.
- Confirm each intended affiliate has a valid email address.
- Check for duplicate contacts using the same email address.
- Use tags to organize qualified affiliate candidates when helpful.
- Decide whether the imported affiliates should remain active.
- Confirm you are working inside the correct BizStackPro account.

Important Import Rules
Unique Email Addresses Are Required
Only contacts with unique email addresses are imported. If multiple contact records share the same email address, BizStackPro imports the first eligible record and skips the duplicates.
Re-Importing Contacts
You can run the import process again. Existing affiliate records are generally not overwritten, and newly found contacts still need unique email addresses to be added.
Understanding Affiliate Status
Active
Active is the normal status for affiliates who should participate in your program.
Active affiliates can be added to campaigns, and their affiliate links can function as expected.
Inactive
Inactive affiliates cannot be added to affiliate campaigns.
Their affiliate links do not function while the account remains inactive. Status can be updated individually or in bulk.
Best Practices for Contact Imports
- Use tags to identify approved affiliate candidates.
- Remove or merge duplicate contact records before importing.
- Confirm email addresses are accurate and current.
- Import smaller groups when reviewing a large contact database.
- Check the affiliate list immediately after import.
- Review affiliate status before assigning campaigns.
- Document why each person was approved for the program.
Common Import Problems
- A contact was skipped: Check whether the email address already belongs to another contact or affiliate.
- The wrong contacts were imported: Review your filters and tags before running another import.
- An affiliate cannot join a campaign: Confirm that the affiliate status is Active.
- An affiliate link is not working: Check whether the affiliate has been marked Inactive.
- A contact cannot be found: Confirm the person exists in Contacts and has a valid email address.
