Quick Answer
Build and test the offer before publishing the affiliate campaign.
Go to Marketing → Affiliate Manager → Campaigns, create a new campaign, select the funnel, website, store, or supported destination affiliates will promote, and choose the landing page.
Review product eligibility, configure commission rates, assign affiliates, add campaign details, and save the campaign as a draft until the links and purchase process have been tested. Publish only when the complete referral path is ready.
Setting Up Your First Campaign Without Missing Important Connections
An Affiliate Manager campaign connects the offer affiliates promote with the destination page, eligible products, tracking rules, commission structure, and participating affiliates.
The campaign itself does not replace the funnel, website, store, product, or payment setup. Those parts should already exist and work correctly before the campaign is published.
If the wrong destination is selected, affiliates may send visitors to an incorrect page. If products or commission settings are incomplete, eligible sales may not calculate the way you expect.
Building the campaign in a clear order makes testing easier and gives affiliates a more reliable promotion process.
Affiliate Campaign Setup at a Glance
Each campaign setting controls a different part of affiliate promotion and tracking.
Before You Begin
Prepare the offer, destination, and commission plan before creating the campaign.
- Confirm the funnel, website, store, or destination page is published and working.
- Test the landing page and checkout process.
- Confirm the products and pricing are correct.
- Decide which products should earn commissions.
- Choose a percentage or flat commission structure.
- Decide whether recurring or multi-tier commissions are needed.
- Prepare a clear campaign description for affiliates.
- Decide which affiliates should be assigned when the campaign launches.
- Prepare approved promotional assets and instructions.
Test the customer journey first
A published affiliate campaign can begin sending real traffic immediately. Confirm the destination, forms, checkout, payment process, fulfillment, and confirmation pages before giving affiliates their referral links.
Step 1: Create a New Affiliate Campaign
Start in the Campaigns area of Affiliate Manager.
Open Affiliate Manager
Navigate to the affiliate campaign management area.
Marketing → Affiliate Manager → CampaignsSelect Add
Select the option to create a new affiliate campaign.
Enter a Campaign Name
Use a name that clearly identifies the offer, funnel, promotion, or product group connected to the campaign.
Review the Initial Options
Confirm that you are creating the campaign for the correct business account and intended source.
Step 2: Choose the Campaign Source
The campaign source determines which part of your account Affiliate Manager will use for referral tracking.
Available source options can depend on the pages, funnels, stores, and integrations configured in your BizStackPro account.
Funnel
Use a funnel when affiliates are promoting a structured sales path with landing, checkout, upsell, or thank-you steps.
Website
Use a website when affiliates are sending visitors to a standard website page or offer page.
Store
Use a store when affiliate traffic should enter through an ecommerce or product-shopping experience.
External Destination
Use an external link only when that option is supported and the destination has been configured for affiliate tracking.
Choose the source affiliates will actually promote
Do not select a source only because it appears first in the list. Confirm that it contains the live destination and products connected to the affiliate offer.
Step 3: Select the Landing Page or Destination
Choose the exact page visitors should reach after clicking an affiliate referral link.
Review the Available Pages
Locate the sales page, registration page, product page, or other approved destination connected to the campaign.
Select the Intended Destination
Make sure the page matches the campaign name and offer affiliates will promote.
Verify the Published URL
Open the page separately and confirm the correct domain, path, content, forms, and checkout links appear.
Confirm the Referral Path
Make sure the generated affiliate link directs visitors to the selected destination without losing the affiliate tracking information.
Step 4: Review Products and Commission Eligibility
When a campaign is connected to products, review the product list carefully and choose which purchases should generate an affiliate commission.
- Confirm the correct products appear in the campaign.
- Enable commissions only for eligible products.
- Review one-time and recurring billing options separately.
- Confirm product names and prices match the live checkout.
- Exclude internal, test, free, or noncommissionable products when appropriate.
- Review product-specific rates when different offers use different payouts.
Keep the first campaign easy to audit
A campaign with one clearly defined offer is usually easier to test than a campaign containing many unrelated products. Additional products can be added after tracking and commission calculations have been confirmed.
Step 5: Configure Your Default Commission Structure
Every campaign needs a default commission structure that determines how affiliates earn from qualifying sales.
Choose the Commission Type
Select whether affiliates earn a flat amount, a percentage, or another supported commission model.
Configure the Default Rate
Enter the commission amount or percentage that should apply unless an affiliate-specific override is used.
Review Recurring Commissions
If the offer includes subscriptions or recurring billing, configure recurring commission behavior when appropriate.
Step 6: Configure Multi-Tier Commissions
Multi-tier commissions reward affiliates for introducing additional affiliates into your program.
First Tier
Pays commissions directly to the affiliate responsible for the sale.
Second Tier
Pays qualifying commissions to the parent affiliate when a referred affiliate generates a sale.
Tier Rates
Configure each commission level independently based on your affiliate program rules.
Enable only if your program uses referral hierarchies
Not every affiliate program requires second-tier commissions. Simpler programs often begin with a single commission level before expanding later.
Step 7: Complete Campaign Settings
Finish the remaining campaign settings before assigning affiliates.
- Create a descriptive campaign name.
- Add a campaign description for affiliates.
- Review cookie duration settings.
- Configure affiliate portal options if applicable.
- Review payout rules.
- Verify campaign visibility.
Step 8: Assign Affiliates
Once the campaign configuration is complete, assign affiliates who should be allowed to promote the offer.
Open the Campaign
Select the campaign you just created.
Add Affiliates
Assign individual affiliates or groups of affiliates to the campaign.
Review Permissions
Confirm affiliates have access to the correct campaign and promotional materials.
Step 9: Test Before Publishing
Publishing a campaign before testing can create tracking and commission problems that affect affiliates immediately.
- Test affiliate links.
- Verify landing pages.
- Complete a test purchase if possible.
- Verify commission calculations.
- Review affiliate reporting.
- Confirm notifications and automation.
Publish only after testing
Saving the campaign as a draft gives you time to verify the entire customer journey before affiliates begin sending traffic.
