Quick Answer
Choose the affiliate-creation method that matches where the person's information is currently stored.
Use New Affiliate when adding one person manually. Use Import from Contacts when the person already exists in your BizStackPro contact database. Use Upload Affiliates when importing a larger group from a CSV file.
After adding the affiliates, review their profiles, assign them to the correct campaigns, and confirm that their contact information and tracking details are accurate.
Adding Affiliates Without Creating Confusion or Duplicate Records
BizStackPro provides multiple ways to add people to Affiliate Manager because affiliate information can begin in different places.
A new partner may not exist anywhere in your account yet. An existing customer or contact may already have a complete contact record. A larger affiliate program may need to import dozens or hundreds of people from a spreadsheet.
Choosing the correct method helps preserve existing contact data, reduces duplicate records, and makes campaign assignment easier.
This guide explains when to use each option and what to review after the affiliates have been added.
Affiliate Import Options at a Glance
Select the method that best matches the number of affiliates and where their information is currently stored.
Before You Begin
Review your affiliate data before adding or importing records.
- Confirm whether each person already exists in Contacts.
- Remove obvious duplicate rows from any CSV file.
- Make sure every affiliate has a valid email address.
- Separate first and last names into individual fields when possible.
- Decide which campaign or campaigns the affiliates should join.
- Confirm whether any affiliates should be assigned beneath a primary affiliate.
- Save a backup copy of the original CSV before editing or importing it.
Check for existing contacts first
Creating a brand-new affiliate record for someone who already exists in Contacts may produce duplicate records. When possible, use the existing contact import option instead.
Method 1: Add a New Affiliate Manually
Use this method when adding one affiliate who does not already exist in your account.
Open Affiliate Manager
Navigate to the affiliate management area.
Marketing → Affiliate Manager → AffiliatesSelect Add
Select the option to add an affiliate, then choose New Affiliate.
Enter the Affiliate Details
Enter the affiliate's name, email address, and any other requested information.
Review the Information
Confirm the email address and other identifying details before saving the record.
Save the Affiliate
Save the new record, then open the affiliate profile to review campaign assignments and account details.
Method 2: Import Affiliates from Existing Contacts
Use this option when the person is already stored in your BizStackPro contact database.
Importing the existing contact helps preserve the person's contact history and reduces the risk of creating another record with the same email address.
Open the Affiliates Area
Go to Marketing → Affiliate Manager → Affiliates.
Choose Import from Contacts
Open the add menu and select the option to import existing contacts.
Locate the Contact
Search for the person using their name, email address, or other available contact information.
Select the Correct Record
Review similar results carefully and choose the contact that belongs to the intended affiliate.
Complete the Import
Confirm the selection and add the contact to Affiliate Manager.
Method 3: Upload Affiliates with a CSV File
Use a CSV upload when adding a larger group of affiliates at one time.
Prepare the CSV File
Organize the affiliate information into clearly labeled columns such as first name, last name, and email address.
Save the File as CSV
Export or save the spreadsheet using the CSV file format supported by the importer.
Open Upload Affiliates
Go to Affiliate Manager, open the Affiliates area, select Add, and choose Upload Affiliates.
Upload the File
Select the prepared CSV file from your computer and begin the import process.
Map the Fields
Match each CSV column to the corresponding BizStackPro affiliate field.
Review and Complete the Import
Check the mapped fields, confirm the information appears correctly, and finish the upload.
Keep the CSV simple
Start with essential fields such as first name, last name, and email address. Additional fields can be included when they match available fields in the importer.
Step 4: Review Imported Affiliates
Before assigning affiliates to campaigns, verify that every imported record contains accurate information.
- Confirm names imported correctly.
- Verify email addresses are accurate.
- Review for duplicate affiliate records.
- Open several affiliate profiles to confirm the data imported properly.
- Assign affiliates to the appropriate campaigns.
- Confirm affiliate status and availability.
Step 5: Add Sub-Affiliates
Sub-affiliates allow one affiliate to recruit and manage additional affiliates beneath them when supported by your campaign configuration.
Open the Affiliate Profile
Locate the affiliate who will become the parent affiliate.
Open the Sub-Affiliate Area
Navigate to the Sub-Affiliate tab within the affiliate profile.
Add the New Sub-Affiliate
Select the appropriate campaign and assign the affiliate beneath the parent affiliate.
Save the Assignment
Confirm the relationship appears correctly before leaving the profile.
Step 6: Locate Affiliate IDs
Affiliate IDs may vary between campaigns. Review the affiliate profile to see campaign-specific tracking information.
Open the Affiliate Profile
Select the affiliate you want to review.
Switch Campaigns
Change between available campaigns to review each campaign's affiliate information.
View Tracking Details
Review affiliate IDs, referral information, and campaign details for the selected campaign.
Step 7: Export Affiliate Records
When reviewing affiliate activity or reconciling commissions, export options may be available within reporting, payouts, or affiliate management areas.
Exported CSV files can be used for reporting, auditing, backups, or additional spreadsheet analysis.
Step 8: Add Manual Sales and Commissions
If an affiliate should receive credit for a verified sale that was not tracked automatically, a manual commission can be entered.
Open the Affiliate
Locate and open the affiliate profile.
Choose Manual Sales
Open the available menu and select the manual sales or manual commission option.
Enter the Transaction
Provide the customer information, purchase details, and commission amount.
Save the Record
Review the information carefully before saving the manual commission.
Important Notes
- Adding an affiliate does not automatically send a welcome email.
- Campaign notifications depend on your campaign and portal configuration.
- Review imported records before activating affiliate campaigns.
- Avoid creating duplicate affiliate records by checking existing contacts first.
