RSS Blocks in the Email Builder

Overview

RSS blocks let you build an email once and automatically populate it with new content whenever your feed updates. BizStackPro provides two RSS blocks: RSS Header (feed-level info) and RSS Items (individual posts/items).

RSS Header Block

The RSS Header block pulls channel tags (feed-level details) like your feed title, description, URL, and last build date. You can choose Basic or Custom:

• Basic: Inserts predefined, non-editable RSS tags.
• Custom: Fully editable, letting you format and arrange values however you want.

RSS Items Block

RSS Items displays the individual feed posts/items. This is the block that turns your email into an automated newsletter. For multiple posts, you typically format the block to loop through items.

Scheduling RSS Emails

RSS content populates during RSS campaign execution—so you’ll want to schedule the email as an RSS Email Campaign.

1. Go to: Send or Schedule.
2. Select: RSS Email Campaign.
3. Enter: A campaign name + your RSS Feed URL.
4. Choose frequency: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
5. Set time preferences: Choose time and (where available) excluded days.
6. Confirm recipients: Pick your list/segment and schedule.

Why RSS Variables Sometimes Look Blank

RSS variables can appear empty if the email is not being generated through the RSS campaign flow, or if the feed URL is missing/invalid.

• Make sure you used RSS Email Campaign (not standard scheduling).
• Confirm the RSS Feed URL is valid and publicly accessible.
• Test with a feed that has recent posts/items.

Managing Scheduled RSS Campaigns

• Edit: Updates typically cancel the current schedule and reschedule with the new configuration.
• Pause/Resume: Temporarily stop sending, then restart when ready.
• Delete: Permanently removes the scheduled RSS campaign.
