RSS Elements in the Email Builder

RSS elements help you dynamically populate your emails with content from an RSS feed. Typically, you’ll use a RSS Header (for feed/channel details) and RSS Items (for the individual posts/items).

• RSS Header: Uses channel tags (like title/description) to display feed-level information.
• RSS Items: Displays individual feed items (posts), and can support thumbnails when available.
• Dynamic content: Your campaign updates automatically as your feed publishes new items.

RSS Header: Basic vs Custom

The RSS Header element usually offers two ways to output feed/channel information:

• Basic: Inserts default, non-editable text (fast setup, fewer options).
• Custom: Gives you full control so you can write your own header copy and insert RSS variables.

RSS Items: Show New Content Automatically

RSS Items display the actual posts/items from your feed. Depending on your feed structure, you may be able to show item titles, summaries, links, publish dates, and thumbnails/media.

How to Schedule RSS Email Campaigns

RSS campaigns can send on a schedule so your list receives new content without building a fresh email each time.

1. Go to Marketing → Email → Email Campaign and create a new campaign.
2. Build your email using the Email Builder.
3. In sending options, select RSS and paste your RSS feed URL.
4. Choose a frequency: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
5. Select a send time and any applicable send days (for weekly/monthly schedules).
6. Confirm sender, subject, recipients, and preview text.

Manage, Pause, or Reschedule RSS Campaigns

From the campaign Actions menu, you can manage the schedule without rebuilding the email.

• Pause: Temporarily stop sending while you update your template or feed.
• Reschedule: Adjust the send time (commonly allowed up to about 1 hour before sending).
• Delete: Remove the campaign if you no longer need it.
