Quick Answer
How do you use a trigger link in an SMS message?
Open Conversations, select a contact, switch to SMS, click the + icon, select the trigger link you want to insert, add any supporting message text, and send the SMS. Trigger links can also be added to workflow SMS actions and reusable SMS templates.
Turning Simple SMS Messages Into Action Triggers
You may be sending SMS messages, but it is not always clear what happens after a contact clicks a link.
Trigger links are special URLs that can be inserted into SMS messages. When a contact clicks one, BizStackPro can track the click and use that action to support automation.
Trigger links can be used to help trigger workflows, apply tags, or move contacts through automation based on their engagement.
Without this setup, an SMS may stop at “sent.” Trigger links give you a way to measure what happens after the message is delivered and use that engagement as part of the next step.
Trigger links cannot be shortened
Use the full trigger link format exactly as provided. Trigger links cannot be used as short links if you want click tracking and related automation to work correctly.
