How to Change the Content of an Ongoing Email Campaign

Need to fix a typo, update an offer, or adjust your schedule? Here’s how to safely update email content, pause sending, or cancel a campaign so you stay in control.

Updating Campaigns Without Sending the Wrong Message

You may need to update an email after scheduling, whether it’s fixing a mistake or changing an offer.

Ongoing campaigns can be edited, paused, or canceled, but timing matters to ensure your changes are applied correctly.

Without understanding how updates work, changes may not apply before the next send.

This guide will show you how to safely update your campaigns so your emails go out exactly as intended.

Once you understand how campaign updates work, follow the steps below to edit content, manage timing, and control sending inside your BizStackPro account.

What You Can Edit (And When)

You can typically edit Simple Schedule, RSS, and Scheduled campaigns as long as you do it before the next execution date/time.

Important: If you edit too close to the execution time, your changes may not be applied. Make updates as early as possible.

Update Email Content (Step-by-Step)

  1. Go to Marketing → Emails → Campaigns.
  2. Find the campaign you want to update.
  3. Click the three-dot menu next to the campaign name.
  4. Select Update Email Content.
  5. Make your changes (text, sections, buttons, links, etc.).
  6. Click Save.
  7. Return to Send or Schedule to confirm recipients and timing.

Follow along: Update Email Content → Save → Send/Schedule again. That final step helps ensure recipients + timing match your updated version.

Pause or Cancel a Campaign

If you’re unsure whether your update will apply in time, pausing is the safest move. You can also cancel entirely if the campaign is no longer needed.

  • Pause: temporarily stops sending so you can review and fix content.
  • Cancel: stops the campaign completely (no further executions).

Note: Pausing/canceling works best before execution time. If emails are already processing, some may still send.

What If It’s Already Sending?

  • If you pause mid-send, only unsent emails are affected.
  • Emails that already went out cannot be “pulled back.”
  • After pausing, you can edit the campaign and resume with updated content and schedule.

Pro tip: If a mistake went out, schedule a fast “correction” email to the same audience (or only those who opened/clicked) once you confirm the fix.

Will changes always apply before the next execution?

Not always. If you edit too close to execution time, changes may not apply. Edit as early as possible.
