BizStackPro Contacts Help Guide

Contact-to-Contact Association

Link contacts together using custom relationship labels such as Parent / Child, Spouse, or Business Partner so related people and records are easier to understand and manage.

Quick Answer

How do contact-to-contact associations work in BizStackPro?

Create association labels under Settings → Objects → Contacts, then open a contact record and use the Associations section to link that contact to another person. Labels can be single or paired, and each contact can have up to 10 associations.

What Contact-to-Contact Associations Do

You may have contacts that are connected, such as family members, partners, employees, managers, or other related people, but those relationships are not always obvious when viewing separate contact records.

Contact-to-contact associations let you connect one contact record to another using a label that describes the relationship.

This can be useful when multiple contacts belong to the same household, account, team, or organization.

Associations are displayed inside the contact record so you can understand how related people are connected without relying on notes or memory.

Associations add context to contact records

Custom labels help explain the relationship between contacts, making your CRM easier to understand when several people are connected.

Before You Begin

Decide how you want relationships to be labeled before creating associations.

  • Sign in to your BizStackPro account.
  • Identify the contact relationships you need to track.
  • Decide whether each relationship needs a single label or paired labels.
  • Use clear labels such as Parent / Child, Manager / Employee, Spouse, or Business Partner.
  • Confirm both contacts already exist before linking them.
  • Consider using a small standardized set of labels if multiple team members manage contacts.

Step 1: Create Association Labels

Association labels define how one contact is related to another.

Open Settings

From your BizStackPro account, open Settings.

Open Objects

Select Objects, then choose Contacts.

Create an Association

Click + Create Association.

Choose the Label Type

Choose either a single label or paired labels.

A single label could be something like Parent, while paired labels could represent both sides of a relationship, such as Husband and Wife.

Save the Label

Save the association label or label pair once the relationship has been defined.

Edit or Delete a Label

To make changes later, use the three-dot (⋮) menu next to the association label.

From there, you can edit or delete the label.

Standardize labels when possible

If several people manage contacts, using a small set of consistent labels can make relationship data easier to understand and maintain.

What Happens If a Linked Contact Is Deleted?

If one of the linked contact records is deleted, the association will no longer display on the remaining contact because the linked record no longer exists.

Association Best Practices

Keep Labels Simple
Reason: A smaller, clearer set of labels makes contact records easier to understand and reduces inconsistent naming.
Use Consistent Relationship Names
Reason: Standardized labels make it easier for everyone on the team to interpret contact relationships the same way.
Review Associations Periodically
Reason: Relationships can change, so reviewing associations helps remove outdated links.
Document Your Label Rules
Reason: Simple internal guidance can help team members use the same labels consistently.
