Quick Answer
How do you import or export contacts in BizStackPro?
Open Contacts or a Smart List. To export, select the contacts, choose the export action, select the fields you need, and download the completed CSV. To import, upload a cleaned CSV, map its columns to the correct BizStackPro fields, choose how duplicates should be handled, review tags and automation options, and track the request under Contacts → Bulk Actions.
Importing and Exporting Contacts
Import and export tools help you move, back up, review, and update contact information using structured CSV files.
Exporting creates a downloadable copy of selected contact fields. It can be used for backups, reporting, data cleanup, migration, or sharing approved information with your team.
Importing creates or updates contact records after each CSV column has been mapped to the correct BizStackPro field.
Without a clear process, imported data can become inconsistent, create duplicate records, overwrite information, or trigger unintended workflows and campaigns.
Test imports before processing the full file
Use a small import of approximately 10–25 contacts to confirm field mapping, duplicate handling, tags, and automation behavior.

Step-by-Step: Export Contacts
Select the contacts and fields that should be included in the downloaded CSV.
Open Contacts or a Smart List
Open Contacts or the Smart List containing the records you want to export.
Select the Contacts
Select individual records with their checkboxes, or use the checkbox at the top of the table to select the current page.
Select the Full Database When Needed
To include every contact, use the additional link that appears after selecting the current page, commonly labeled Select all in company.
Open the Export Option
Choose the available export control from the bulk actions menu or the Contacts import and export controls.
Select the Export Columns
Choose the fields that should be included in the CSV, such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, additional phone numbers, tags, or other available contact fields.
Start the Export
Confirm the contact count and selected fields, and then begin the export.
Download the CSV
Download the completed file when the export is ready and save it in a secure location.
Include additional contact fields when needed
If contacts contain additional email addresses or phone numbers, include those columns when available so the exported file is complete.
Exports are typically manual
Create a regular weekly or monthly export routine when you need ongoing backups of your contact data.
Step-by-Step: Import Contacts
Prepare the CSV, map its columns, choose how existing contacts should be handled, and review optional automation before submission.
Prepare the CSV
Use a .csv file with a header row containing field names such as First Name, Last Name, Phone, Email, and Tags.
Clean the Contact Data
Remove obvious duplicates, fix formatting problems, and standardize values before uploading the file.
Format Phone Numbers Consistently
Use a consistent format, such as E.164 formatting with the country code when appropriate.
Remove Unsupported Fields
Do not include unsupported field types such as file uploads or signature fields in the CSV.
Upload the CSV
Open the contact import option and select the prepared CSV file.
Map the Fields
Match each CSV column to the correct BizStackPro contact field. Create a supported custom field when necessary, or skip data that should not be imported.
Choose How to Handle Duplicates
Select whether the import should add new contacts, update existing contacts, or do both.
Confirm the Unique Identifier
Use a reliable unique value such as an email address, phone number, Contact ID, or another supported unique field.
Add Tags
Map a Tags column or apply a tag to the entire imported batch when that option is available.
Review Campaigns and Workflows
Confirm whether imported contacts should enter a campaign or workflow. When available, limit automated enrollment to new contacts.
Name and Submit the Import
Give the import batch a descriptive name, review the settings, and submit the CSV for processing.
Track the Import
Open Contacts → Bulk Actions or the available bulk requests list and monitor the import until processing is complete.
Verify the Results
Open several imported or updated records and confirm that the data, tags, duplicate handling, and automation behavior are correct.
Campaigns and workflows may start immediately
Test a small import before processing the complete file so you do not enroll the wrong contacts or trigger unintended messages.
Imports without email or phone need another identifier
When the CSV does not contain email addresses or phone numbers, use another supported unique field, such as a Contact ID, to prevent mismatches.
