Adding and Using Products in Forms

Seamlessly add products to BizStackPro Forms to sell items or collect custom amounts—with variants, inventory-aware quantities, tax, coupons, flexible layouts, tracking, and workflow automation.

Turning Forms Into Simple Checkout Experiences

You may be using forms to collect information, but they can also be used to sell products and collect payments.

Adding products directly into forms creates a streamlined experience where users can select items, apply discounts, and complete payments in one place.

Without the right setup, forms can become confusing or fail to capture payments correctly.

This guide will show you how to add and manage products so your forms work as simple, effective checkout pages.

Once you understand how product elements work, follow the sections below to add items, configure payments, and track orders inside your BizStackPro forms.

Overview

You can add products directly inside Forms for a streamlined checkout experience. Depending on your setup, you can sell a product, collect a custom amount, support variants, respect inventory quantities, and apply taxes and coupons.

  • Sell products or collect custom amounts
  • Variants and inventory-aware quantities (when configured)
  • Taxes and coupons (when enabled)
  • Payment tracking in submissions + workflows for follow-up

Getting Started

  1. Create your product in Payments > Products (or confirm it already exists).
  2. Confirm your payment gateway is connected.
  3. Decide whether you’re working in Live or Test mode while building.

Pro tip: Build and test the full form flow in Test mode first, then switch to Live before publishing.

How to Add Products to a Form

  1. Go to the Sites tab and select Forms.
  2. Create a new form or open an existing form to edit.
  3. Click the elements icon (top-right), then drag and drop the Sell Product element onto the canvas.
  4. Connect your payment gateway and toggle Live/Test as needed.
  5. Click Add Product and select the product you want to include.
  6. Customize the product block (example: descriptions, images, pricing display, and layout).

Follow along: Sites → Forms → open form → add Sell Product element → connect gateway → Add Product → customize → save.

Recurring Products

If you offer subscriptions, you can use recurring products in Forms and Surveys.

  1. Create your recurring product in Payments.
  2. Go to Forms (or Surveys) and add the payments/product element.
  3. Select your recurring product from Add Product.

Coupons

  1. Create coupon codes under Payments > Coupons.
  2. Enable coupons inside the payment/product element so customers can apply discounts.

Customize Form Appearance

  • Choose from preset themes and styling controls.
  • Select from available layout options for the product display.
  • Add up to 20 products per form.
  • Embed forms in funnels and use them as one-step order forms when needed.

Pro tip: Keep the first view simple—one featured offer, then add upsell products lower on the page.

Tracking Payments

  • Submission records include payment amount, order ID, and payment status.
  • Click the Order ID to view detailed order information.
  • Use built-in export options to download submission details.

Email Notifications & Workflows

  • Email notifications can reflect the payment status and amount.
  • Automate follow-up using a Payment Received trigger (source: Forms) in Workflows.

Follow along: Workflow → trigger: Payment Received (Forms) → send receipt / deliver access / notify team.

Important Notes

  • NMI and Authorize.net require the First Name field when using the payment element in forms.
  • Refund amounts are not captured at this time.
  • The old API-based Stripe connect method is no longer supported.
  • The payment element will not display in calendars using custom-form payment elements.
  • Multi-payment support with multi-native forms in a funnel is not yet available.
  • Undo/Redo is not supported with the payment element.

Tip: If checkout isn’t working, confirm you have required fields (like First Name for NMI/Authorize.net) and that your gateway is connected in the correct mode (Test vs Live).

Save & Preview

  1. Click Save after configuring products and styling.
  2. Use Preview to validate product display and the payment flow.
  3. Run a quick test submission to confirm tracking and workflow triggers.
