Add a Customer to Membership, Course, or Offer

Grant customers access to your memberships, courses, and offers through funnels, workflows, or manual optionsβ€”and make sure login credentials get delivered correctly.

Your 3 Ways to Grant Access

In BizStackPro, you can grant membership access in three common ways. Choose the method that best matches your setup:

  • Funnels (recommended for paid access): Sell a product connected to an offer and access is granted automatically.
  • Workflows (great for automation): Trigger on purchase or form submission, then grant the offer.
  • Manual (quick fixes): Add access from a contact record (best for support/admin use).

Follow along: Set up a published offer β†’ connect it to a product β†’ sell via a funnel or trigger a workflow β†’ confirm the welcome email/magic link.

Method 1: Grant Access Using a Funnel

Step 1: Publish an Offer and Link It to a Product

  1. Create your offer in Memberships β†’ Courses β†’ Offers β†’ Create Offer.
  2. Publish the offer (draft offers won’t show up when linking products).
  3. Go to Payments β†’ Products β†’ Create Product.
  4. Fill out product details, then under pricing/additional options, select your membership offer.
  5. Save the product.

After purchase, the customer is automatically added to the courseβ€”no extra steps needed. Currency is set based on the sub-account’s location.

Step 2: Add the Product to Your Funnel Order Form

  1. Open your funnel and select the page that has your order form.
  2. Click Products β†’ Add Product and attach the membership product.
  3. Save your changes.

Step 3: Direct Customers Into the Membership Area

  1. Open (or create) the page that loads after purchase.
  2. Add a button β†’ in Button Actions, set the action to Membership.
  3. Save the funnel page.

Pro tip: You can also send a Magic Link (login URL) so users can access instantly and set a password without friction.

Method 2: Grant Access Using Workflows

Step 1: Choose a Purchase-Related Trigger

A common setup is using an Order Form Submission trigger, then filtering by funnel, page, or submission type (opt-in, sale, bump, upsell).

Step 2: Add the β€œCourse Grant Offer” Action

  1. Add the Course Grant Offer action.
  2. Select the offer you want to grant.
  3. Publish the workflow.

Best practice: Use workflows when you want different products to grant different offers automatically, or when access depends on tags, form submissions, or pipeline stages.

Make Sure Login Credentials Get Sent

Access is one thingβ€”credentials are the other. Use one of the two options below so customers can log in successfully.

Option 1: System β€œWelcome Email” (Fastest)

  1. Go to Memberships β†’ Courses β†’ Settings.
  2. Enable Send Welcome Email and choose a template.
  3. Save.

This sends credentials automatically. If you need customization, build a custom email template and use available custom values.

Option 2: Workflow Email Using β€œMembership New Signup”

  1. Create a workflow with the Membership New Signup trigger.
  2. Optionally filter by a specific offer.
  3. Add a Send Email action using a template or the email builder.
  4. Include custom values such as:
    • Email (the member’s email address)
    • Login URL (Magic Link) (secure link to log in and set a password)
  5. Save and Publish the workflow.

Why this matters: β€œMembership New Signup” helps prevent sending credentials repeatedly when access is granted multiple times via other workflows.

Manual Access (Use for Admin/Support)

You can manually grant access from a contact record. This is helpful for support, refunds, or edge casesβ€”but automation is usually cleaner.

Heads up: If your workflows handle credential emails, manually granting access can cause confusion (duplicate emails, unexpected templates, or missing triggers).

Want customers to get access instantly after purchase?

BizStackPro makes it easy to connect payments, automation, and membershipsβ€”so buyers can log in and start learning right away.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I don’t publish my membership offer?

It stays in Draft and won’t be selectable in products or funnels. Publish the offer before linking it.

How is the currency for an offer determined?

Currency is set automatically based on the sub-account’s location.

Do I need to do anything after payment to grant access?

No. When the product is linked to an offer, access is granted automatically after payment.

Why aren’t login credentials being sent?

Enable Send Welcome Email in Membership settings, or confirm your workflows are using the correct trigger and email action.

Can I manually grant access to a membership offer?

Yes, from the contact page. But if automation is already sending credentials, manual access may create conflicts or duplicate emails.

Automate Access, Reduce Support Tickets

The best membership experience is the one that β€œjust works.” Connect offers to products, trigger grants with workflows, and send magic links so customers never get stuck.
