How to Use the Email Builder for Email Templates

Build reusable email templates in BizStackPro using the editor that fits your workflow—drag-and-drop design, simple plain text, or full HTML. Keep branding consistent, preview across devices, and save templates for faster campaigns.

Building Templates That Save Time on Every Campaign

You may be creating emails regularly, but rebuilding layouts each time slows down your workflow.

Email templates let you design your structure once and reuse it across multiple campaigns.

Without a consistent template, emails can become inconsistent and take longer to create.

This guide will show you how to build and use templates so your emails stay consistent and easier to manage.

Once you understand how templates work, follow the steps below to create layouts, customize content, and reuse your designs inside your BizStackPro Email Builder.

Overview

Email templates are reusable layouts you design once and use across multiple campaigns. They’re your “starting point” (branding, sections, spacing, buttons), while campaign-specific messages get added when you create the actual email campaign.

Follow along: Create a “Master Brand Template” first (header, footer, button style, spacing), then duplicate it for newsletters, promos, updates, and onboarding emails.

Accessing the Email Builder

  1. Go to MarketingEmails.
  2. Open the Templates tab.
  3. Click + New to create a new template.

Editors Available

Pick the editor based on how much control you need—and how fast you want to build.

  • Code Editor: Best for advanced users who want full HTML control.
  • Plain Text Editor: Great for simple emails with basic formatting, links, and images.
  • Design Editor: Drag-and-drop layouts, rows/columns, and visual styling—best for most users.

Pro tip: If you’re standardizing branding, build the template in the Design Editor first—then only use the Code Editor when you truly need custom HTML.

Using the Design Editor

  1. Start blank or pick a pre-made layout: Choose Blank Template or select a library template.
  2. Add layout structure: Insert rows/columns to shape your email sections.
  3. Drag in elements: Text, images, buttons, dividers, videos, and social links.
  4. Style in Appearance: Backgrounds, fonts, spacing, and (when available) custom CSS.
  5. Preview & Save: Preview on desktop/mobile and save your template for reuse.

Design note: Many templates use default padding and minimal spacing around text. If your emails feel cramped, increase section padding and line spacing.

Custom Values and AI Content

  • Custom values: Add placeholders to personalize emails (name, business name, etc.).
  • Best practice: Always confirm your values populate correctly when creating the campaign.
  • AI tools: Use AI content features (when available) to draft or refine sections faster.

Follow along: Keep templates “structure-first” (layout + branding), then write the final message in the campaign so each send stays fresh and relevant.

Error Warnings (Custom Values)

If a custom value has a syntax issue, you may see a warning at the top of the editor. Use the warning prompt to jump directly to the element that needs fixing, then correct the value formatting and save again.

Previewing Your Template

  • Open preview (often from the three-dots menu) to toggle desktop/tablet/mobile views.
  • Send a test email to yourself to confirm real inbox rendering.
  • Check spacing, button size, image width, and link tap-ability on mobile.

Pro Tips

  • Standardize: Use one master template and duplicate it for every campaign type.
  • Test first: Always send a test to yourself before sending to a list.
  • Mobile-first: Use bigger buttons, fewer columns, and more spacing.
  • Preview often: Small spacing issues are easier to fix early than at the end.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right editor for my email template?

Use the Code Editor for HTML customization, Plain Text for simple emails, and the Design Editor for drag-and-drop building.

Can I use custom values in my templates?

Yes. Add custom values for personalization, then confirm they populate correctly when you build the campaign before sending.

How do I preview my email template?

Use the template preview option (often in the three-dots menu) and toggle between desktop, tablet, and mobile.

What if I want to edit a pre-made template?

Open it in the Design Editor, customize it, and save as a new template or overwrite the original—depending on your workflow.

Build a Master Template Once

Standardize your layout, buttons, and spacing in a single master template—then duplicate it for every campaign you run. Your emails stay consistent, and your workflow gets faster.
