How to Restore a Deleted Calendar

Recover a deleted calendar and eligible related appointments through BizStackPro Audit Logs before the available recovery window expires.

Quick Answer

Restore the calendar from Settings → Audit Logs

Open Settings → Audit Logs, find the calendar deletion entry, click the three-dot menu, and select Restore. Calendars can only be restored while the audit log remains available, and only eligible appointments within the restoration timing window will return.

Recovering Deleted Calendars Before It Is Too Late

Deleting a calendar can remove both the calendar configuration and its related appointments. When the deletion was accidental, BizStackPro provides a restoration option through the account’s Audit Logs.

The Restore Calendar feature can recover the deleted calendar and certain related appointments without requiring you to rebuild the calendar from scratch.

Restoration is time-sensitive. Audit Logs are retained for a limited period, and appointments are only restored when their deletion time falls within the allowed window around the calendar deletion.

Acting quickly gives you the best chance of recovering the calendar and as much related booking information as possible.

Important Recovery Limits

Calendar Deletion Removes Appointments

Deleting a calendar also deletes the appointments associated with that calendar.

60-Day Audit Log Limit

Audit Logs are retained for 60 days. Calendars deleted more than 60 days ago cannot be restored through this process.

±30-Minute Appointment Window

Only appointments deleted within 30 minutes before or after the calendar deletion time are restored with the calendar.

Restore the calendar as soon as possible

Waiting can cause the Audit Log entry to expire. Once the deletion is older than 60 days, the Restore option will no longer be available.

Before You Begin

Gather the information needed to identify the correct deletion record and confirm that restoration is still possible.

  • Confirm the name of the deleted calendar.
  • Estimate when the calendar was deleted.
  • Confirm that the deletion occurred within the past 60 days.
  • Identify the user who may have deleted the calendar.
  • Review whether appointments were deleted at approximately the same time.
  • Check current calendars for a replacement with the same name.
  • Prepare to review restored appointments for conflicts.
  • Confirm that you have permission to access Audit Logs.

Do not create a duplicate calendar first

Before rebuilding the calendar manually, check Audit Logs for a restorable deletion. Restoring the original calendar may preserve more configuration and booking information.

Step-by-Step: Restore a Deleted Calendar

Open Settings

Open the Settings area inside your BizStackPro account.

Settings

Open Audit Logs

Select Audit Logs.

Settings → Audit Logs

Locate the Calendar Deletion

Find the Audit Log entry showing that the calendar was deleted. Use the available date, user, action, or record information to identify the correct entry.

Open the Action Menu

Click the three dots next to the deletion entry.

Select Restore

Choose Restore from the available actions.

Allow the Restoration to Complete

BizStackPro will restore the calendar and any appointments that meet the recovery requirements.

Check the deletion timestamp carefully

The timestamp helps you identify the correct calendar deletion and determine which related appointments may qualify for restoration.

Which Appointments Will Be Restored?

Restoring the calendar does not necessarily restore every appointment that was previously associated with it.

Only appointments deleted within 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after the calendar deletion time are eligible to return with the restored calendar.

Eligible Appointments

Appointments deleted within the permitted ±30-minute window around the calendar deletion may be restored automatically.

Ineligible Appointments

Appointments deleted outside that timing window will not be restored with the calendar.

Some appointment records may still be missing

If an appointment does not reappear, compare its deletion time with the calendar deletion time. Appointments outside the allowed restoration window must be reviewed or recreated separately.

Verify the Restored Calendar

Review the calendar immediately after restoration to confirm that its settings and eligible appointments returned correctly.

  • Confirm that the calendar appears in the Calendar section.
  • Confirm the calendar name.
  • Review the assigned users.
  • Review regular availability.
  • Confirm the appointment duration and scheduling settings.
  • Review connected forms and booking settings.
  • Check payment settings when the calendar collects payments.
  • Confirm that eligible appointments reappeared.
  • Review restored appointments for scheduling conflicts.
  • Confirm that reminders and workflows are still connected.
  • Test the public booking link.

Review appointment conflicts manually

Restored appointments are added back to the calendar. If another appointment or external calendar event now occupies the same time, you will need to resolve the conflict manually.

Why This Feature Matters

Easier Recovery

Restore an accidentally deleted calendar without rebuilding the complete setup from the beginning.

Less Downtime

Recover booking availability and calendar workflows more quickly.

Better Data Protection

Reduce the risk of permanently losing important appointment information after an accidental deletion.

Troubleshooting Calendar Restoration

The Restore option is not available

Confirm that the selected Audit Log entry represents a deleted calendar and that the deletion occurred within the past 60 days. Also confirm that your user permissions allow access to the restoration action.

I cannot find the calendar deletion entry

Review the Audit Log date range, action filters, affected user, and record information. If the deletion is older than 60 days, the entry may no longer be retained.

The calendar returned but some appointments did not

Compare the appointment deletion timestamps with the calendar deletion timestamp. Only appointments deleted within the allowed ±30-minute window are restored automatically.

Restored appointments overlap other events

Open each conflicting appointment and review the assigned user, date, time, and connected external calendar events. Reschedule or remove the conflicting booking manually.

The restored calendar is missing settings

Review the calendar configuration, assigned users, availability, forms, notifications, payment settings, and workflows. Reconfigure any settings that did not return as expected.

Next Step

Test the restored calendar before reopening bookings

Review the calendar settings, confirm restored appointments, check for conflicts, and complete a test booking before sending the calendar link back to customers.
