Guide to Setting Up Calendar Payments

Learn how to collect payments during calendar appointment bookings in BizStackPro, including payment gateway setup and calendar payment configuration.

Quick Answer

Connect a payment gateway before enabling calendar payments

Open the Payments integrations area, connect a supported payment gateway, choose the default gateway if needed, open the calendar’s Forms and Payments settings, enable Accept Payments, enter the payment details, and switch the payment mode to Live when you are ready to collect real payments.

Collecting Payments During Booking Without Missing Setup Steps

You may want clients to pay when they book, but it is not always clear how to connect a payment system and enable payments inside the calendar.

Calendar payments depend on linking a payment gateway and configuring how payments are collected during the booking process.

If the gateway is not connected or the settings are not configured correctly, payment options may not appear, or bookings may be completed without payment.

This guide explains how to connect a payment gateway and enable payments so the booking and payment happen in one flow.

What Are Calendar Payments?

Calendar payments allow you to collect money when a customer books an appointment.

This is useful for paid consultations, coaching sessions, services, classes, events, or other appointments where payment should be confirmed before the booking is finalized.

  • Combine scheduling and payment into one booking process.
  • Reduce the need to send a separate payment request.
  • Confirm that the customer has paid before the appointment.
  • Make the booking process easier for both the business and the customer.

Available Payment Gateways

Calendar payments can use supported payment gateways connected to your BizStackPro account.

  • Stripe
  • NMI
  • Authorize.net
  • Razorpay
  • Square

Widget and Service Menu compatibility

Razorpay, NMI, and Square are not supported with the Classic Widget or Service Menu.

Before You Begin

Prepare the payment details before configuring the calendar.

  • Decide which supported payment gateway you will use.
  • Make sure you can sign in to the gateway account.
  • Decide how much the appointment should cost.
  • Confirm the currency that should be charged.
  • Write a clear payment description for the customer.
  • Decide whether you are testing the setup or accepting live payments.

Step 1: Connect Your Payment Gateway

A payment gateway must be connected before payment settings can be enabled on a calendar.

Open Payments

Open the Payments area inside your BizStackPro account.

Payments → Integrations

Select a Payment Gateway

Choose Stripe, NMI, Authorize.net, Razorpay, Square, or another supported gateway available in your account.

Complete the Connection

Follow the connection process and provide the requested account or authorization information.

Choose the Default Gateway

When more than one gateway is connected, select the gateway you want to use from the default gateway dropdown.

Payment toggle not appearing?

If the calendar payment option is unavailable later, confirm that a payment gateway has been connected successfully.

Step 2: Enable Payments on a Calendar

After the payment gateway is connected, configure the payment settings for the calendar.

Open the Calendar Settings

Open the Calendars area and create a new calendar or select an existing calendar to edit.

Calendars → Create or Edit Calendar

Open Forms and Payments

Find the Forms & Payments area. Depending on the calendar setup, it may appear under Advanced Settings.

Enable Accept Payments

Turn Accept Payments on for the calendar.

Enter the Payment Amount

Enter the amount the customer should pay and select the correct currency.

Add the Payment Description

Add a clear description explaining what the customer is paying for.

Choose Test or Live Mode

Use Test mode while checking the payment flow.

Change the payment mode to Live when you are ready to accept payments from real customers.

Save the Calendar

Save the calendar settings before testing the public booking process.

Understanding Test and Live Payment Modes

Test Mode

Use Test mode to confirm that the payment form, booking flow, amount, and gateway connection work correctly without collecting a real payment.

Live Mode

Use Live mode when the calendar is ready to accept actual customer payments.

Check the payment mode before publishing

A calendar left in Test mode will not collect real customer payments. Confirm that the payment mode is set to Live before sharing the booking link.

Test the Calendar Payment Flow

  • Open the public calendar link or embed the calendar on a test page.
  • Select an available appointment time.
  • Complete the booking form.
  • Confirm that the payment form appears.
  • Verify that the amount, currency, and description are correct.
  • Complete a test transaction using the correct testing process for the connected gateway.
  • Confirm that the appointment is created only as expected.
  • Review the payment record, booking confirmation, and notifications.

Calendar Payments and Recurring Appointments

Payments can be collected for recurring appointments, but partial payments are not supported for recurring calendars.

Review the recurring appointment payment settings carefully before publishing the calendar so the customer is charged according to the intended payment structure.

Next Step

Complete a full payment test

Test the booking from the customer’s perspective. Confirm that the correct amount is displayed, the transaction completes, the appointment is created, and the booking and payment records appear in the correct areas.
