Quick Answer
Connect Google Calendar before selecting Google Meet
Connect your Google account in Calendar Settings, choose a Google Calendar as the Linked Calendar, configure any Conflict Calendars, and then select Google Meet as the meeting location for the calendar or user.
Generating Google Meet Links Without Manual Setup Each Time
You may want every appointment to include a Google Meet link, but it is not always clear how to connect everything so those links are created automatically.
Google Meet integration depends on linking your Google Calendar and configuring how bookings are created and synchronized.
If the integration is not configured correctly, meeting links may not generate, or scheduling conflicts may occur across connected calendars.
This guide explains how to connect Google Meet and configure your calendar so new bookings include the correct meeting link.
Google Meet Integration at a Glance
Before You Begin
Make sure the correct Google account and user calendar settings are available before enabling Google Meet.
- Confirm that you can sign in to the correct Google account.
- Confirm that you have write access to the Google Calendar you plan to connect.
- Identify which BizStackPro user will receive the bookings.
- Decide which Google Calendar should receive newly created events.
- Decide which calendars should block availability when events are marked as busy.
A linked Google Calendar is required
Google Meet will not become available until a Google Calendar is selected as the Linked Calendar in Calendar Connections.
How to Connect Google Calendar
Begin by connecting the Google account that should create the calendar events and Google Meet links.
Open Calendar Connections
Open Calendar Settings from either your user profile or the Calendars area.
Settings → My Profile → Calendar Settings Calendars → Calendar Settings → ConnectionsConnect the Google Account
Select the option to connect Google and sign in to the Google account you want to use.
Approve the Requested Permissions
Review and approve the permissions required for BizStackPro to read calendar availability and create new events.
Select a Linked Calendar
Choose the Google Calendar that should receive new appointments created through BizStackPro.
Selecting a Linked Calendar also allows Google Meet links to be generated for supported calendar types.
Configure Linked and Conflict Calendars
The Linked Calendar and Conflict Calendar settings control two different parts of the scheduling process.
Linked Calendar
The Linked Calendar receives new bookings created through BizStackPro.
It is also required for Google Meet link generation.
Conflict Calendar
A Conflict Calendar is checked for existing events that should block booking availability.
Events marked as Busy can prevent overlapping appointments and reduce double-booking.
Review conflict behavior carefully
Confirm that the correct calendars are selected and that events marked as Busy block the time slots you expect.
Sync the Calendar Settings to the User Profile
Make sure the staff member who will receive the bookings has the correct calendar configuration in their user profile.
Meeting-location options such as Google Meet become available according to the connected calendar settings for that user.
Select Google Meet as the Meeting Location
Open the Calendar or Availability Settings
Create a new calendar or open an existing calendar to edit its appointment settings.
Choose Google Meet
Set the meeting location to Google Meet.
New supported bookings will then generate a Google Meet link automatically.
Save the Changes
Save the calendar or user availability settings before testing the integration.
Calendar-type limitation
Google Meet is not supported for Class Booking calendars or Simple/Event Calendars.
Test the Google Meet Integration
- Add the calendar to a page or open its public booking link.
- Schedule a test appointment.
- Confirm that the appointment appears on the Linked Calendar.
- Confirm that the Google Meet link appears in the booking details.
- Check that the meeting link is included in the appropriate confirmation and notification messages.
- Confirm that Busy events on Conflict Calendars block overlapping availability.
Troubleshooting Google Meet Integration
Google Meet is greyed out
Confirm that a Google Calendar has been selected as the Linked Calendar in Calendar Connections. Google Meet becomes active only after a linked Google Calendar is set.
Google Meet links are not being created
Confirm that the Google account is still connected, that the correct Linked Calendar is selected, and that Google Meet is selected as the meeting location.
Google Calendar Writer Access Error
Confirm that the connected Google account has write permission for the selected calendar. Reconnect the calendar if permissions have changed.
Double-bookings are still possible
Review the selected Conflict Calendars and confirm that conflicting events are marked as Busy.
Retest after calendar or staff changes
Complete another test whenever you connect a new Google account, change staff assignments, update permissions, or replace a Linked Calendar.
