Contacts Widgets In The Dashboard

Visualize contact data with customizable dashboard widgets—track segmentation, engagement, and attribution (Source/Medium) so you can spot trends faster.

Seeing Contact Data Clearly Without Digging Through Reports

You may have contact data available, but finding patterns or understanding performance can take extra time.

Dashboard widgets let you visualize contacts by tags, source, activity, and more—so you can see what’s happening at a glance.

Without clear visualization, important trends can be missed or harder to act on.

This guide will show you how to use contact widgets so you can track performance and make better decisions faster.

Once you understand how contact widgets work, follow the steps below to add, configure, and customize your dashboard inside BizStackPro.

How to Add and Configure a Contacts Widget

  1. Open your Dashboard inside BizStackPro.
  2. Click “Add Widget” (top-right).
  3. Select the Contacts category to see all contact-based widgets.
  4. Configure your widget (options vary by widget):
    • Title: Name it for the job it does (example: “Contacts by Source – This Month”).
    • Metrics & Grouping: Pick what you want to measure and how it’s grouped (Tags, Type, Assigned User, Activity, etc.).
    • View style: Choose a chart/table layout (example: donut, bar, table, granular view).
    • Date settings: Set ranges by created date, updated date, or custom windows.
    • Limit & Order: Control how many results display and how they’re sorted.
  5. Click “Save” to publish the widget to your dashboard.

Follow along: Dashboard → Add WidgetContacts → configure → Save.

Common Contacts Widgets You’ll See

  • Contact Count
  • Contact Count (Logged in User)
  • Contacts by Tags / Type / Activity / Assigned User / Company
  • Contacts with or without Email/Phone
  • Contacts by Source / Medium
  • Top Sources for Contacts Created
  • Total Contacts Count (Till Date / This Month)

Pro tip: Create a small “core dashboard” first (Tags + Assigned User + Source/Medium). Once that’s stable, add deeper widgets for activity and attribution.

Using Attribution and UTM Parameters

Attribution helps you understand where a contact came from. In widget conditions, you can choose an attribution type like First or Latest to analyze first-touch vs. last-touch performance.

Heads up: When attribution is applied, UTM parameters are typically supported in Table and Granular views—so use those views if you want to break down Source/Medium data clearly.

Contact Source Filtering (Segmentation by Acquisition)

  1. Add a Contacts widget from the Dashboard.
  2. Open the Conditions tab.
  3. Select Source (and/or Medium) as the filter.
  4. Choose attribution settings if needed (First vs. Latest).
  5. Save and review the data for patterns.

Depending on your account settings, you may also see other filters (like address or followers) to help refine reporting.

Practical Use Cases

  • Sales: Use Contacts by Tags to track lead categories (Hot Leads, Prospects, Follow-up).
  • Team management: Use Contacts by Assigned User to balance workload and spot gaps.
  • Engagement: Use Contacts by Activity to find who’s most active (and who needs a nudge).
  • Marketing: Use Source/Medium widgets to see which campaigns bring the best leads.

Want clearer reporting and better follow-up timing?

Build a dashboard that shows the signals you care about—tags, source/medium, and activity—so you can act faster without digging through reports.
