Quick Answer
How does the Skool Community Importer work?
Enter the Skool group slug and administrator credentials, start the member import, download the generated CSV, correct missing or invalid email addresses, and upload the cleaned file into BizStackPro. After the members are imported successfully, run the post importer. Review the results carefully because the import cannot be automatically reversed.
Moving a Community Without Starting Over
Changing community platforms can be difficult when the existing group already contains members, posts, discussions, and engagement history.
The Skool Importer helps administrators transfer members and posts from a Skool group into a BizStackPro Community.
This reduces the need to recreate every member record and manually copy each discussion into the new platform.
The process includes two major stages:
- Import the community members.
- Import the existing posts after the member import succeeds.
The import is not automatically reversible
Imported members and posts can be removed manually afterward, but there is no automatic undo process. Review the source data, destination community, and CSV before completing the import.
Skool Import Process at a Glance
Before You Begin
Prepare the source group, destination community, member communication, and import data before starting.
- Confirm that you have administrator access to the Skool group.
- Confirm that the BizStackPro destination community already exists.
- Verify that you selected the correct destination community.
- Record the Skool group slug.
- Confirm the administrator email address and password used by the importer.
- Notify members that they may receive a BizStackPro access email.
- Plan additional time for a large group or a large post history.
- Prepare a secure location for reviewing and editing the CSV.
- Decide who will verify the member and post results afterward.
- Avoid making unrelated community changes during the migration.
Prepare the Destination Community
Confirm that the BizStackPro Community is ready before importing members or posts.
Open Communities
Open the BizStackPro Communities area.
Open the Destination Group
Select the community that should receive the imported members and posts.
Review the Community Name
Confirm that the community name and description are ready for the incoming members.
Review the Channel Structure
Confirm that the available channels can support the imported discussions.
Prepare a Start Here Announcement
Create or prepare a welcome post explaining the new platform, login process, navigation, and member next steps.
Review Access Settings
Confirm that privacy, paid access, course access, and member permissions match the intended migration plan.
Step 1: Enter the Skool Group Details
The importer needs the group information and valid administrator credentials so it can access the Skool community data.
Open the Skool Importer
Open the available Skool Group and Post Importer inside the BizStackPro Communities area.
Enter the Group Slug
Enter the Skool Group Slug for the community being migrated.
Enter the Administrator Email
Enter the email address connected to an account with permission to access the source group.
Enter the Administrator Password
Enter the password required for the importer to authenticate with the source account.
Confirm the Destination
Review the BizStackPro Community that will receive the import.
Continue
Click Continue to begin retrieving the source group information.
Use credentials with the correct permissions
The source account must have sufficient access to retrieve the group members and posts. Incorrect credentials or insufficient permissions can prevent the import from starting.
Step 2: Start the Member Import
Members should be imported before the posts so the destination community contains the relevant member records.
Start the Member Retrieval
Continue through the importer so it can retrieve the available member information from Skool.
Allow the Importer to Process
Larger groups may require more processing time than smaller communities.
Review the Import Status
Watch for completion messages, warnings, or errors.
Download the Generated File
Download the CSV produced by the importer.
Large imports may take longer
The original guide states that there are no hard member or post limits, but larger communities may require additional processing time.
Step 3: Download and Review the Member CSV
Review the generated CSV before uploading the members into BizStackPro.
Open the CSV
Open the downloaded file in a spreadsheet application that preserves the CSV structure.
Review Member Names
Confirm that member names appear in the appropriate rows and columns.
Review Email Addresses
Check every member row for a usable email address.
Review Required Columns
Confirm that the columns required by the importer remain present.
Identify Duplicate Records
Review duplicate names or email addresses before uploading the member list.
Preserve the File Structure
Avoid renaming or removing required headers unless the importer specifically instructs you to do so.
Step 4: Correct Missing or Invalid Information
Email addresses are required for proper member access and notifications.
Save a clean copy before uploading
Keep the original download and save the corrected version as a separate CSV so the source and edited files can be compared if an error occurs.
Step 5: Upload the Corrected Member CSV
Return to the Importer
Return to the member-import stage in BizStackPro.
Select the Corrected CSV
Choose the cleaned member file rather than the original unreviewed download.
Upload the File
Upload the CSV using the available member-import control.
Review the Import Summary
Confirm the number of member records the importer detected.
Start the Member Import
Confirm the import when the member list and destination are correct.
Review the Completion Status
Confirm which members were imported successfully and whether any records require correction.
Step 6: Import the Skool Posts
Run the post import after the member import has completed successfully.
Confirm the Members Exist
Verify that the expected member records are present in the BizStackPro Community.
Open the Post Importer
Continue to the post-import stage of the Skool Importer.
Confirm the Source Group
Verify that the post importer is using the correct Skool group.
Confirm the Destination Community
Verify that the posts will be added to the correct BizStackPro Community.
Start the Post Import
Begin importing the available discussions and posts.
Allow the Import to Finish
Large post histories may require additional processing time.
Review the Completion Status
Confirm whether the posts were imported successfully and whether any errors were reported.
Prepare Members for Access Emails
Imported members receive email access information according to the original guide.
Notify members before the import so the message is expected and they understand why they are receiving it.
Explain the Platform Change

Spot-Check Member Profiles
Open several member records and confirm the available name and email information.
Review Imported Posts
Open several posts from different parts of the source history.
Review Post Formatting
Confirm that text, paragraphs, links, and other available content display acceptably.
Review Post Ownership
Confirm that imported discussions are associated with the expected members when that information is available.
Review Community Navigation
Confirm that imported content is placed where members can find and use it.
Test a Member Login
Use a non-admin member account to confirm that the new community can be accessed.
Handle Import Errors
Correct the file and re-upload it
The original guide states that import errors are reported. Fix missing information or formatting problems in the CSV and upload the corrected version again.
Understand the Reversal Limitation
The import process is not automatically reversible.
If the wrong members or posts are imported, they must be reviewed and removed manually.
Verify before confirming the import
Confirm the source group, destination community, CSV contents, member count, and credentials before starting the final member or post import.
- Preserve the original downloaded CSV.
- Save a separate corrected CSV.
- Record the expected member count.
- Record the date and time of the import.
