A privacy policy and cookie banner helps communicate how data is used while giving users control over their experience.
Without a consent banner, you may run into compliance issues or reduce user trust.
This guide will show you how to add and customize a consent popup so your pages remain transparent and user-friendly.
Once you understand how consent banners work, follow the steps below to add the script, customize the message, and publish it across your BizStackPro pages.
Step 1: Open Your Funnel or Website Page
Navigate to the funnel step or website page where you want the banner to appear, then click Edit to open the builder.
Follow along: If you want the banner site-wide, add it to a header/global section you reuse on every page—or repeat the steps on each page you publish.
Step 2: Add a Custom JS/HTML Element
- Click Add Element.
- Scroll to Custom and select Custom JS/HTML.
- Drag the element to the TOP of the page.
Pro tip: Placing it at the top helps the consent banner load before other scripts that might set cookies.
Step 3: Paste the Script
Open the element’s Settings panel, click Open Code Editor, then paste the cookie/consent script provided in the BizStackPro documentation (or your preferred banner script).
Save your changes before leaving the editor.
Step 4: Customize the Banner Options
- Edit the popup_title to change the banner heading.
- Modify the popup_message to match your policy statement.
- Update the popup_more_link_url to point to your Privacy Policy page.
- Adjust colors and button text inside the script’s Editable Options section.
Note: Only edit the values inside quotation marks (example: change 'Accept Cookies').
Step 5: Save, Preview, and Publish
Click Save, preview your page, and confirm the banner appears for first-time visitors. Then Publish to make it live.
Quick check: Open the page in an incognito/private window to simulate a first visit.
