GDPR Compliance with Custom Checkbox Consent in Forms

Step 1: Create a GDPR Checkbox Field

1. Go to Sites > Forms > Builder > + Add Form.
2. In Custom Fields, click + Add and select Checkbox.
3. Name it (e.g., “GDPR Compliance Checkbox”) and enter your GDPR statement in the placeholder.

Note: The example placeholder is not an official GDPR statement—consult legal guidance for your wording.

Step 2: Make the Checkbox Required

Drag the field into your form, open its settings, and check the Required option to make consent mandatory for submission.

Step 3: Create a GDPR Workflow

1. Go to the Workflow panel and create a new workflow.
2. Add a trigger: Form Submitted, select your GDPR form, and include the checkbox field.

Step 4: Add Workflow Actions

1. Add an If/Else action.
2. Under Contact Details → Custom Fields, choose your GDPR checkbox.
3. Set the operator to Includes and select the consent value.
4. Under the Yes path, add a tag (e.g., “Compliant”).
5. Under the No path, add a different tag (e.g., “Non-Compliant”).

Step 5: Create Smart Lists

In Contacts > Smartlists, use the Tag filter to show contacts by compliance status. Save the list for quick access.
