Cloudflare Setup – BizStackPro Help

Cloudflare Setup

Connect your domain to Cloudflare, confirm DNS records, update nameservers, and migrate branded domains—so your BizStackPro sites run faster and stay more secure.

Improving Speed, Security, and Control Over Your Domain

You may already have a domain connected to your site, but performance and security often depend on how DNS is managed.

Cloudflare adds a layer between your domain and your visitors, helping improve load speed and protect against common threats.

Without proper setup, you may miss out on performance gains and security features.

This guide will show you how to connect and configure Cloudflare so your domain runs more efficiently and securely.

Once you understand how Cloudflare works, follow the steps below to configure DNS records, update nameservers, and complete your setup inside your BizStackPro account.

What This Does

Cloudflare sits between your visitors and your domain to help improve performance and add protective layers (like DDoS mitigation and SSL handling). When Cloudflare is set up correctly, it can manage your DNS and apply optimization automatically.

Important: Changing your domain’s nameservers is what allows Cloudflare to manage DNS. If nameservers are not updated, Cloudflare cannot apply its protections or performance settings.

Step 1: Create a Cloudflare Account

  1. Open your Cloudflare dashboard and click + Add a Site.
  2. Enter your domain name and click Add Site.
  3. Select a plan (the Free plan works for basic security and performance) and click Continue.

Tip: You can add multiple domains to the same Cloudflare account. Just repeat + Add a Site for each one.

Step 2: Configure DNS and Change Nameservers

Cloudflare will scan your existing DNS records so it can mirror your current setup before you switch nameservers.

  1. Review the DNS scan results (especially MX and email-related records).
  2. Click Continue to proceed to nameserver instructions.
  3. Log into your domain registrar (example: GoDaddy) and replace the current nameservers with the Cloudflare nameservers provided.
  4. Return to Cloudflare and click Done, check nameservers.
  5. Complete the Cloudflare quick start settings to apply recommended security and performance options.

Heads up: Nameserver propagation can take a few minutes up to 48 hours, depending on your registrar and DNS cache timing.

Migrating Branded Domains

  • New Branded Domains: Add using the domain connect flow, or manually point via CNAME to brand.ludicrous.cloud.
  • Old Branded Domains: Remove the domain (typically in General Information), then re-add it using the domain connect flow or the manual CNAME method.

Migration helps your branded domains take advantage of Cloudflare’s protection layers, SSL handling, and performance features.

Email continuity reminder: If you use email on this domain, verify MX records and any mail-related CNAME/TXT records after the switch.

Why This Matters

  • Performance: Faster load times can improve user experience.
  • Security: Helps reduce common web threats and adds protection layers.
  • Stability: DNS management becomes centralized in one dashboard.
  • Branding: Branded domains feel more professional and consistent.

Cloudflare won’t be able to manage your DNS or apply performance/security optimizations.

How long does nameserver propagation take?

It can take a few minutes up to 48 hours, depending on your registrar and DNS settings.

Do I need a paid plan to use Cloudflare?

No—the free plan includes basic security and performance features that are enough for many setups.
