When offering promotions, it’s not always clear how to apply discounts without changing your pricing structure or creating separate offers.
Coupons allow you to apply percentage or fixed discounts at checkout, giving you flexibility to run promotions while keeping your core offer unchanged.
Without a clear setup, coupons may not appear at checkout, apply incorrectly, or create confusion about when and how they can be used.
This guide will walk you through how to enable coupons, create discount codes, and control how they’re applied during checkout.
Before creating a coupon, it’s important to understand the basic requirements and limitations.
Coupons help you add flexible discounts at checkout, but they have a few important rules.
Pro tip: If you don’t see coupon options, check Settings → Labs and enable Membership Coupons.
You must enable coupons at the offer level so the checkout page shows a coupon field.
Follow along: Go to Memberships → Courses → Offers → edit your offer → under Price toggle Allow checkouts to access coupons → Save.
After saving, preview the offer/checkout and confirm you see the coupon input (example label: “Enter your coupon code”).
