Resending Membership Credentials – BizStackPro Help

Resending Membership Credentials

If a member can’t log in, you can retry the original credentials email, reset their password, or send a password reset link—right from the contact record.

Fixing Login Issues Without Delays

When a member can’t log in, it often comes down to missing emails, outdated credentials, or confusion about how to access their account.

Credential recovery tools allow you to resend original login details, reset passwords, or provide secure reset links so access can be restored quickly.

Without a clear recovery process, login issues can turn into repeated support requests and slow down the onboarding experience.

This guide will walk you through the available options so you can resolve access problems efficiently and get members back into their accounts.

To begin, start with the fastest option—retrying the original credentials email.

Option 1: Retry the Original Credentials Email

The fastest fix is usually to resend the original credentials email (especially if it failed due to a temporary delivery issue).

Follow along: Open the member’s Contact Record → locate the original membership credentials email in the activity/history → click Retry if available. If needed, copy the credentials from the email and send them manually.

  • Best for: failed sends, member says they “never got the email,” quick support wins
  • Fallback: copy the username/password details and message them manually

Option 2: Change Password (Reset + Resend)

If the member is still locked out (or credentials are outdated), reset the password from the contact record.

  1. Open the member’s Contact Record.
  2. In the left-side details area, scroll and click Change Password.
  3. Generate a new password.
  4. Choose how to deliver it:
  • Notify by email (recommended): send a password-change notification to the member.
  • Share manually: copy the new password and send it directly if you don’t want to trigger an automated email.

Security tip: If possible, send a Password Reset Link so the member can set their own secure password.

Which Option Should You Use?

  • Try Retry first when the member simply didn’t receive the credentials email.
  • Reset the password if the member’s credentials don’t work or they’ve been reused/compromised.
  • Send a reset link when you want the cleanest and most secure resolution.
