NMI, Authorize.net and Square as Payment Providers for POS & Mobile Payments – BizStackPro Help

NMI, Authorize.net and Square for POS & Mobile Payments

Connect a provider, run POS from the LeadConnector app, and charge by saved card, manual entry, or a Square Reader—so you can take payments anywhere.

Choosing the Right Payment Setup for Mobile Transactions

When accepting payments on mobile, it’s not always clear which provider to use or how different payment methods fit into your checkout process.

Payment integrations like NMI, Authorize.net, and Square connect your account to POS so you can process transactions using saved cards, manual entry, or in-person readers.

Without the correct provider setup, payment options may not appear, transactions can fail, or you may end up working in the wrong account.

This guide will walk you through how to connect a provider and use it with POS so payments are processed correctly across your mobile workflow.

To begin, start by connecting your payment provider and preparing your mobile setup.

Connect & Prepare

Start by connecting your payment provider in BizStackPro, then confirm you’re logged into the correct sub-account in the mobile app.

  1. Open Payments → Integrations and connect NMI, Authorize.net, or Square.
  2. Set the connected provider as your default.
  3. In the LeadConnector app, log into the sub-account where the provider is connected.
  4. (Square only) Pair your reader in Settings → Payment Devices before in-person payments.

Follow along: If POS options look missing, you’re usually in the wrong sub-account or your provider isn’t set as the default yet.

Create a POS Transaction (Mobile)

POS transactions can be a quick custom amount charge or a full itemized checkout using your product catalog.

  1. Open POS in the LeadConnector app and start a new transaction.
  2. Enter a custom amount or add products from your catalog.
  3. (Optional) Link a contact so you can use Cards on File for future payments.
  4. Review totals (line items, taxes, and discounts), then continue to checkout.

Choose a Payment Method

At checkout, choose the method that fits the situation—repeat customer, phone payment, or in-person swipe/tap.

  • Cards on File: Use a saved payment method for fast repeat checkout.
  • Manual Card Entry: Enter card details when a reader isn’t available.
  • Square Payments (Reader): Tap/insert using a paired Square Reader for in-person payments.

Pro tip: If you want to use Cards on File, make sure the transaction is tied to the correct contact—that’s how stored methods show up.

Using NMI or Authorize.net

After the integration is connected, you can charge by using a saved method or adding a new card during checkout.

  • Confirm the provider is connected in Payments → Integrations and set as default.
  • In POS checkout, choose Cards on File or Manual Card Entry.
  • Tap Charge to process and view confirmation.

Using Square (Reader)

Square is ideal for in-person payments—just pair your reader and select Square at checkout.

  1. Pair your reader in Settings → Payment Devices.
  2. Create your transaction in POS.
  3. At checkout, select Square Payments.
  4. Have the customer tap or insert their card to complete the payment.

Security Notes

  • PCI-DSS: Use approved methods for processing and avoid storing raw card data yourself.
  • Tokenization: “Cards on file” are stored as secure tokens by the provider, not plain card numbers.
  • Best practice: Restrict payment permissions to only the team members who need access.

Troubleshooting

  • Payment failed: Confirm the integration is connected, verify details, and retry.
  • Reader not detected (Square): Re-pair the reader, check Bluetooth permissions, and confirm it’s charged.
  • Wrong options showing: Make sure you’re logged into the correct sub-account in the LeadConnector app.
