Creating Products, POS & Tap to Pay in the Mobile App

Create products, take payments with POS, and enable Tap to Pay for fast, secure, hardware-free transactions—right from the BizStackPro mobile app.

Selling and Collecting Payments Without Extra Tools

When selling products or services in person, switching between apps or systems to manage items, totals, and payments can slow down the checkout process.

The mobile app combines product creation, point-of-sale checkout, and Tap to Pay into one system so you can manage sales and collect payments from a single place.

Without a connected setup, transactions can become harder to track, customer records may not stay updated, and the checkout experience can feel inconsistent.

This guide will walk you through how to create products, use POS, and enable Tap to Pay so you can handle transactions efficiently on the go.

To begin, start by creating or editing products so they’re ready for use in your mobile checkout flow.

Creating or Editing Products (Mobile)

Build your product catalog directly inside the mobile app so your items are ready for POS, invoices, and sales tracking.

  1. Open the hamburger menu and tap Products.
  2. Tap the + icon to create a new product.
  3. Enter product details (name, description, image, item type, and statement descriptor if applicable).
  4. Add pricing models and create variants (size, color, ticket types, etc.).
  5. Review and Save. The product syncs across devices and becomes available for POS and invoices.

Follow along: Menu → Products+ → add details + pricing → Save.

Pro Tips for Products

  • Create variants: Offer different sizes, colors, packages, or ticket types.
  • Track sales: Use the Transactions view to monitor performance.
  • Sync devices: Products sync between mobile and desktop automatically.
  • Connect to contacts: Link sales to contacts so customer records stay updated.

Pro tip: Use clear product names and consistent variant labels (e.g., “VIP,” “Standard,” “Add-On”) so checkout stays fast on mobile.

Using the Point of Sale (POS)

POS helps you sell on the go by connecting quick checkout to your product catalog and customer records.

  1. Open the mobile app and tap Point of Sale.
  2. Enter an amount and item details, or select an existing product from your catalog.
  3. Tap the person + icon to add/select a customer.
  4. Review totals, add taxes or apply discounts.
  5. Choose a payment method and complete checkout.

Example: At an event, select a product, apply a discount code, then take payment instantly—while the purchase is saved to the contact record.

Enable and Use Tap to Pay (NFC)

Tap to Pay uses NFC to accept card/device taps without extra hardware (availability depends on device and region).

  1. Update the mobile app to the latest version.
  2. Connect Stripe under Payments → Integrations.
  3. Confirm your business profile country/region settings (as required for Tap to Pay availability).
  4. Select Tap to Pay and wait for it to connect.
  5. Optionally add a tip, then ask the customer to tap their card or device.
  6. When approved, you’ll see a success message and transaction details.

Supported devices: Android phones with NFC (Android 8+), and iPhone XS or later on iOS 16+ (availability may vary by region).

POS Integration with Calendar (Service Payments)

If you use service calendars, you can collect deposits or balances by enabling payments on the calendar and recording payments from the appointment on mobile.

  1. In your web account, open the service calendar settings.
  2. Go to Forms and Payments and enable payments (full or partial).
  3. Switch the calendar to Live mode and save.
  4. On mobile, open the calendar appointment and record payment using Tap to Pay, card, cash, or manual entry.

Tips for a Smooth Experience

  • Keep your app and phone OS updated for best performance.
  • Confirm your device supports NFC before using Tap to Pay.
  • Use a tablet for a larger checkout view (helpful for events and pop-ups).
